In order to build global democracy all people afftected by global affairs need to have opportunities to acquire knowledge and take action. This toolkit shows you how you can acquire empowering knowledge about global affairs.

BGD commissioned studies into innovative ways that people can acquire an empowering understanding of global affairs. The 10 studies, from all over the world, examined the role of the media, the Internet, “popular universities” and street theatre, amongst others.
Authors are rewriting the case studies presented in Delhi in the light of the workshop discussions, looking in particular to have the pieces speak across regions, cultures and disciplines. Anand Kumar and Jan Aart Scholte will take the lead in editing the papers into book form.
