Action Toolkit
Everyone who wants more democractic global politics needs an idea of global democracy. So what's yours? BGD's toolkit aims to help individuals develop their ideas and promote global democracy in society at large and within their own organisations.
Case Studies
Ever wondered how global democracy might be understood in China or in Sweden?
The Conceptualising Global Democracy project asked writers from ten world regions to set out their ideas of what democracy could mean when applied to global affairs. Here you can read short summaries of their views and get a taste of the rich insights that are available from a more fully global perspective on global democracy.
Authors will rewrite the papers presented in Cairo in the light of the workshop discussions, looking in particular to have the pieces speak across regions, cultures and disciplines. Heba Raouf Ezzat and Jan Aart Scholte will take the lead in editing the papers into book form.
