The Citizen Learning for Global Democracy workshop began in New Delhi on 1 September 2010. The 3-day workshop involves 40 core participants, including the 10 BGD conveners, 10 specialist authors on citizen learning issues, and 20 discussants from practitioner circles, both official and nonofficial. A number of local participants from India also joined the proceedings.
The Delhi workshop will discuss general themes concerning Citizen Learning for Global 
Democracy as well as ten case studies of experiences from around the world to advance knowledge for democratic action in global affairs.
Following the workshop BGD will hold a press conference in Delhi as well as a public event at Jawaharlal Nehru University on the evening of 4 September to which all are welcome.
