Ura Martin, Communications Officer, comes to the Building Global Democracy initiative with several years experience working within the NGO sector. At ActionAid offices in London she held positions as Donor Information Assistant (1999-2000), Communication and Research Coordinator (2002-2003) and Website Coordinator (2002-2003). Thereafter she was Trust Fundraiser for Computer Aid International (2003-2006) and Networking Administrative Assistant for Coventry Voluntary Service Council (2006-2008). She holds a BA in Politics and Sociology from the University of Hull.

In her current role as Communications Officer for the Building Global Democracy programme she is responsible for developing and maintaining the website and database as well as producing the newsletters and other communication material.
