The Programme Officer, Laura Downey, has a MA in Caribbean Literature, including a dissertation on World Literature. Before coming to the Programme, Laura undertook an undergraduate degree in Comparative American Literature at the University of Warwick, with a year of study in Puerto Rico. Laura has a professional background in administrative roles, working within events management and as a senior administrative assistant. She has also worked as an editor and proof-reader upon a forthcoming collection of Guyanese Literature.
