Johny Joseph

Johny Joseph, co-discussant of the IFAT study, is Executive Director of Creative Handicrafts, a fair trade organization working for the welfare of women and children. He is a professional social worker working in the field of social work and social research for the last 10 years. Aside from having a number of articles published in various periodicals he is also the co-author of Lord, I Believe, Increase My Faith (An all India study of Youth and Religion). Among his various assignments Mr. Joseph was Head of the Department of Social Work at St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, Nepal as well as Coordinator of the Tribal Research and Training Center in Bihar, India. Mr. Joseph has presented a number of papers on social enterprises and social work at various international seminars and workshops in Cambodia, Ecuador, France, Spain and the UK. He is currently involved in a research project which examines the implementation of Government of India food-related schemes in Maharashtra.
