A group of BGD conveners will participate in activities of the World Social Forum in Dakar, Senegal on 6-11 February 2011.
Diana Brydon (convener for North America), Alla Glinchikova (Russia/Central Asia), Anand Kumar (South Asia), Moema de Miranda (Latin Amercia), Alfred Nhema (Sub-Saharan Africa) and Jan Aart Scholte (Western Europe) will play host to BGD workshops on ‘How to Build Global Democracy?

How to build Global Democracy? What does 'global democracy' look like? How can we learn to practice it? This workshop debates results of the Building Global Democracy programme. Panelists come from 6 world regions. English, French, Portuguese, Russian language available. All participants will receive action toolkits. |
