These summaries will cover the main ideas of each of the papers commissioned for the Cairo workshop, as well as their implications for action to promote global democracy. These statements will also be translated into 7 languages on the BGD website.
Authors will rewrite the papers presented in Cairo in the light of the workshop discussions, looking in particular to have the pieces speak across regions, cultures and disciplines. Heba Raouf Ezzat and Jan Aart Scholte will take the lead in editing the papers into book form, with the aim of publication in 2011.
In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about the authors and the papers they are producing, then please visit our authors’ page or read our daily highlights from the Cairo workshop.
