Conceptualising Global Democracy Workshop old

The Conceptualising Global Democracy project starts from the observation that a principal difficulty in building democratic governance of global affairs is a general lack of clarity regarding what ‘rule by and for the people’ means in the context of global problems.

Countless commentators bemoan the failings of democracy in relation to contemporary globalisation; however, their ideas of what a global democracy would actually look like are usually vague, implicit and unconvincing.
