Jo Marie Griesgraber, co-discussant of the IMF study, has been Executive Director of the New Rules for Global Finance Coalition since 2003. New Rules is comprised of academics and NGOs from North and South committed to a stable, transparent and equitable global economy. Previously she served as Policy Director for Oxfam America 2000-2003, when Oxfam launched its Make Trade Fair Campaign. From 1989-2000 she was a Senior Associate at the Center of Concern, a Jesuit social justice research and advocacy center. There she chaired the Executive Committee of Jubilee 2000/USA and directed the Center’s Rethinking Bretton Woods Project. With Dr. Bernhard Gunter she edited the 5-volume Rethinking Bretton Woods series. She was the Deputy Director of the Washington Office on Latin America (1976-1983), where she worked on human rights in South America. She has lectured at Georgetown University, Goucher College, and American University. She is presently a Scholar-in-Residence at American University. Her PhD in political science is from Georgetown University.
