Morten Ougaard

Morten Ougaard, author of the OECD study, is Professor of International Political Economy and Program Director, International Business and Politics at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.

His principal publications include Political Globalization: State, Power, and Social Forces (Palgrave Macmillan, 2004) and FN og global organisering på det økonomisk-sociale område [UN and Global Organization in Economic and Social Areas] (Danish Institute of International Studies, 1998), as well as co-edited volumes on The Third World in the Global Governance System (Aalborg University, 2003) and Towards a Global Polity (Routledge, 2002). He has written on the OECD for The Encyclopedia of Globalization (Routledge, forthcoming) and the Seminar on Globalisation, Statehood and World Order (Florence, 1999).

 

During the workshop in Gothenburg Morten Ougaard’s OECD study was discussed by John Evans, Trade Union Advisory Committee and Meggan Dissly, OECD. This discussion was chaired by Leonardo Burlamaqui, Ford Foundation and the outcome of the discussion was used to develop and refine the study which will be published in book form along with all the other case studies in 2009.
